​Tenuta Fernanda Cappello (Friuli)

Fernanda Cappello is a woman of many talents.  After a successful professional career, she returned to the vineyards to follow her father's path and now devotes her boundless energy and enthusiasm to making beautiful wines in Italy's Friuli region.  

Fernanda's success can be attributed to her tireless efforts and enviable terroir. Located just under the Alps between two rivers, her 50 year old vines flourish in the chalky, gravelly and rocky soils which make the vines dig deep for nutrients. Her wines show pronounced minerality and freshness as a result. The rocky soils also reflect heat and help ripen the grapes in this cool alpine climate. And the refreshing alpine breezes ventilate the vineyards and dry the grapes, even in wetter vintages. All of this results in wines that are consistently fresh and delicious with tremendous nerve and tension. These are wines of precision and character.

Tenuta Fernanda Cappello makes a variety of wines from Prosecco to Pinot Grigio, Friulano, Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay among the white wines, and Refosco, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot among the red wines.
